Lake Waikaremoana...
In the remote Te Urewera National Park lies beautiful Lake Waikaremoana.
The name Waikaremoana, loosely translates from Maori to "Sea of rippling water" and lies roughly halfway between Rotorua and Napier off SH38 - New Zealand's last dirt road state highway.
The lake itself is the North Island's deepest, at some 264m, much deeper than NZ's largest lake, Taupo.
