42nd Annual Military Appreciation Banquet
Sen. Lisa Murkowski presents Mrs. Jennifer Carter with Fort Wainwright’s Civilian of the Year Award. Mrs. Carter’s spouse is Cpt. Christopher Carter of the 2nd Battalion, 8th Field Artillery Regiment , 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Mrs. Carter was selected as Fort Wainwright’s Civilian of the Year for her amazing contributions to the Fort Wainwright community. She contributed more than 1,600 hours of volunteer service to the families assigned to Fort Wainwright. She served as a company Family Readiness Group leader for Aviation Task Force 49, now known as the 16th Combat Aviation Brigade. She also worked to support the Army Family Action Plan Conferences, and worked with Child Youth School Services to benefit military families on post.
