My Camballin days. 1963 - 1966
Camballin township was a small community, housing Northern Developments Pty. Ltd. personell, Department of Agriculture, and a school teacher, Public Works charge of the water supply from the Fitzroy river for irrigated farming. The first crops grown were rice and smaller acreages of safflower and sudan grass.
I arrived with my husband Ron in April 1963.
Ron was employed by Northern Developments, and had a further land block of 1000 acres to develop for rice production.
It was a great little town where I made lasting friendships.
