My Camballin days. 1963 - 1966
Camballin township was a small community, housing Northern Developments Pty. Ltd. personell, Department of Agriculture, and a school teacher, Public Works Dept.in charge of the water supply from the Fitzroy river for irrigated farming. The first crops grown were rice and smaller acreages of safflower and sudan grass.
I arrived with my husband Ron in April 1963.
Ron was employed by Northern Developments, and had a further land block of 1000 acres to develop for rice production.
It was a great little town where I made lasting friendships.
