'Flordaprince' Peaches - Homegrown Harvest

Morning harvest, fresh from our orchard.

If you have room and peaches grow near you, grow this.

We have to pick our peaches a bit earlier than full ripe, to beat birds and fruit flies to them. Even then, they're still better than what we can get in the stores here.

From University of Florida:

‘Flordaprince’ was released by the University of Florida in 1982 and its fruit have melting flesh. It has been a standard low-chill peach cultivar worldwide and is one of the earliest ripening. The fruit develop 80% red blush with dark red stripes over a yellow ground color. ‘Flordaprince’ fruit are large, uniformly firm, and yellow, with semi-clingstone pits.
