Dousing the embers at Bo'ness Sidings

Dave Forbes Railway Collection

Bo'ness Railway Tank Engine No.1 'Lord Roberts' (AKA Thomas the Tank Engine) had it's firebox fired up today to check for water and steam vapour leaks and to kill the fire at the end of the shift , embers and sparks flew as they were being shovelled out and dropped into a barrow to be quickly doused out by hose.
