Stuart (smjphoto) was very excited when he pointed out this Puffin floating all by his lonesome. He and his wife, Barbara (Bgale) mentioned that it was rare to see these birds out here in California. I'm not very good at bird pictures, probably because I haven't tried very hard to photograph them but it was exciting to get this colorful little guy.

I can't even believe how jealous I am! What a great opportunity and you did well. Gosh--please tell me where you found this guy? Offshore, I reckon--Farralons or something?

Thanks for including this rare find in California Wildlife!
