portrait of kelp
I went to Abalone Cove a few weeks ago, but a storm unexpectedly rolled in that day, so it was raining the whole time. I was so excited to go and take pictures that I braved the storm anyway.
I spent the whole afternoon huddling under a lifeguard tower, and running out to take pictures between downpours.
Being my first time at this beach, I didn't have a chance to really explore it due to the high-ish tide and weather, so I stayed in one spot and contented myself with creating portraits of seaweed and kelp.

Not too much. A bit of dodging and burning to bring out the kelp.. Punched up the colors in the sky.
