tilted sunset

This is the original image from the textured one I uploaded a while back. I had shot a bunch of photos during the sunset in a different location and I thought the show was over, so I headed back to the car. As I got closer, I realized the show hadn't even started yet, and all these colors burst over the canyons.

I quickly set up my gear again and snapped a few shots. The photo looks like I had my camera tilted but it was perfectly level. The tree was drooping at an angle and the rocks in the background were sloping as well. It was a beautiful scene!

Camera Info:

Camera: Nikon D700

Lens: Nikon 16-35mm f/4

Focal Length: 32mm

Aperture: f/16

ISO: 200

I used a 2-step ND grad filter, hand held

Post Processing:

burned and dodged a bit of the foreground, contrast and warmed it up with a warming filter. i bumped up the vibrancy a bit to give some color definition to the somewhat drab desert landscape.
