ATC Retreat - Summer 2012
And the fun continues!!
For our annual retreat, my wonderfully crafty and talented friends and I spent a week at a cabin in the Blue Ridge mountains (same as last year). However, this year we extended our time there to a week. Because we had more time this year, we expanded our creative horizons and included crafts other than just ATCs.
Gina shared with us her knowledge, templates and supplies for making paper art dolls. Joan showed us how to make beaded fabric beads and Paula brought her molds and supplies and shared with us an antiquing technique which was fun to learn and I think, turned out great. Creating in such environment is incredibly motivating, inspiring and just plain FUN. Watching everyone create and sharing of our selves while our creative juices are flowing is awesome.
(maybe we'll shoot for TWO weeks next time LOL)...nahhh...in my opinion, one week was the perfect amount of time. It allowed enough creative and sharing/relaxing time. Time to just simply enjoy each other's company...Watching wonderful, silly movies was so much fun =)
In other words…. WE HAD A BLAST! (and can’t wait to do it again…and again…and again…)
