[de] Buschfeuer sind sehr häufig während der Trockenzeit, denn einerseits wird damit (traditionell) das Land für die nächste Saat vorbereitet. Wenige Feuer werden von Gewittern ausgelöst. In den Nationalparks und Reserves werden vom Fire Management der UWA (Ugandan Wildlife Authority) oft Streifen unter kontrolliert abgebrannt, damit von aussen eindringende Feuer nicht den ganzen Park niederbrennen können.
[en] Bushfires are very common during the dry season because people prepare their land for the next round of growing crops. Few fires are caused by lightings. In national parks and reserves often the Fire Management of the UWA (Ugandan Wildlife Authority) controlled sets fire to specific strips of land so fires from outside can't burn down all the park.
