Image of a cube moving from 1 to 4 spatial dimensions. Notice how the shadow is always 1 dimension behind the object, and it proved difficult to draw a 3 dimensional shadow as the cube became 4 dimensional. Subtle changes in the object can result in dramatic changes in the shadow.
Ian Lacy has kindly given permission to use his photo of the desk, but I have had to modify and crop the image drastically so please do see the original here www.flickr.com/photos/ianlacy365/4710013677/ . If you look closely you can just make out a small version of the original in the top left corner.
Wireframe for cube based on applet from Pete Gray’s page in HouseOf3D which has other fun stuff and is worth visiting houseof3d.com/pete/applets/wireframe/fractal/index.html
This image is in parallel view but please click on the link below to see other Stereoscopic formats available from Schillr such as cross-view, wiggle and anaglyph (static image only):
I have provided a translation of some of the tags I use on Flickr which you may find interesting www.flickr.com/photos/flights_of_fancy/6973610225/
