Awesome macro and PoV. Beautiful isolation of the subject from the background.

We have many species of Crane fly here in Suffolk, and you've captured this chap very nicely. Really love how the DFA100 handles color and bokeh

Wow, I feel spoilt by the great responses from you all...thanking you all kindly!

V Casey , Scott Fairly certain crane flies are quite common and found in most parts of the world, just keep an eye out for these "oversized" mosquito-like flies :)

mogatron Congrats and good to hear, I'll keep an eye out for the initial results :)

Greg David O c'mon Greg! ;) You'll be pleased to know that they don't sting humans at all, but surprisingly feed on nectar!

R Casey Haha, he looked so handsome, just had to grab the camera! :)

Tomitengu Thanks Tom, it's a great little lens...I take it for granted sometimes :)

Again, thanks very much people....will do another upload, shot a little closer, this time.
