Texas Aggie Boots at an Aggie Photoshoot
I knew I had to take some photographs today or I was going to go crazy. The Jersey Shore Fightin’ Texas Aggie Ring and I were looking around the studio for something to “shoot.” Suddenly, Aggie Ring spotted the old Aggie Boots in the corner.
“Aggie Boots!” yelled out Aggie Ring.
“Yes Sir.” yelled back old Aggie Boots. “How may I be of service?”
“Get your heels up here on the radio stand and be a photographer’s prop.” yelled Aggie Ring.
The “Magical Aggie Boots” jumped up on the radio stand and patiently allowed me to take about 50 or 60 shots. I even put the 14mm lens on the camera so I could get more of the Lone Star Flag of Texas in frame.
When we were finished, Aggie Ring and I thanked the old Aggie Boots who still look pretty good despite not having been polished in decades and decades. Old Aggie Boots replied, “Always glad to be of service, Sir.”
As I was finishing up and turning off the strobes in the studio, it occurred to me, “These Aggie Boots are a hell of a lot more fun now than they were when I was at A&M.” Believe me, having to put them on in the morning in my apartment and drive all the way from Bryan, TX to the A&M campus wearing them was not fun. Driving in Aggie Boots is not quite a pleasure.
