Not 1 More Deportation! Immigrant rights activists gather at the Federal Building in lower Manhattan on Saturday April 5 to protest the 2 millionth deportation of an undocumented immigrant by the Obama admnistration. A small group gathered under cold windy skies to demand Obama take executive action to end deportations immediately and pass immigration reform that will end the harassment of immigrant communities. The rally was one of dozens held that day in cities around the United States, part of a Day of Action against deportations. In a sign of growing disenchantment with the president, Latino political leaders have begun referring to him as the Deporter-in-Chief and warned of political retaliation by Hispanic voters in the upcoming midterm elections.
