Foggy Noggin Brewing

Camera: Zero Image 2000 Pinhole

Film: Kodak Portra 400

Exposure Time: 2 minutes

Location: Bothell, Washington

Series: Pinhole'd Breweries and Pubs

Moving along in the Pinhole’d Breweries and Pubs series, with another nano-sized outfit. Foggy Noggin Brewing is located north of Seattle, tucked away in a residential neighborhood of Bothell. The brewery, which opened to the public in March of 2010, is operated out of head brewer Jim Jamison’s garage. How cool is that? Who among us hasn’t dreamed of converting their garage into something much cooler than a place to house our vehicles and clutter? Foggy Noggin allows you to visualize what it might be like, while you sip on one of their delicious hand crafted ales.

The tasting room offers a unique experience, unlike any brewery in the area can. Their garage set up, complete with tables and chairs out on the driveway, has more of a backyard barbeque feel to it then anything else. With tall trees over head, tunes on the stereo, and a little dachshund named Lucy greeting beer lovers, its hard not to feel relaxed and welcome at Foggy Noggin. Unlike larger brewpubs, where your experience is often constrained to an assigned table and those you came with, here the set up encourages mingling with your fellow beer enthusiasts. Beer lovers are some of the friendliest people around. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon then in a small Bothell neighborhood garage with a pint of Fn beer in hand surrounded by fellow fanatics? It sure beats mowing the lawn right?
