Pupating

You don't usually see silkworm pupas, as they're inside their cocoons. We forced these ones to spin a flat shape by denying them any corners to fasten their cocoons to, so they cover the cardboard shape in silk until eventually they run out of silk and pupate anyway. That's their discarded worm skins alongside the pupas. After a couple of weeks the moths emerge as normal.
