I am so excited about this photo. It practically came out of the camera like this, and thanks to the way people were sitting/standing, it could even be read as telling a story.
I took this while out on a shoot of Millennium Square in Bristol with Hairbear. The camera was dipped in a puddle of water which had spilled over. I had to, because I didn't have a tripod with me.
It was taken with a very high ISO (1600, the highest of the D50) but actually isn't that grainy at all. That's certainly nice to know for the future, too.
I'm very pleased with the lights on the dome starring away, but even more pleased with how the white is just a bit flat and burnt around the people. It might not be good technique, but it certainly brings out the shapes of the people and gives them a nice glow.
Finally, all the new developments in Millennium Square have contributed towards a really interesting palette of colours which are sort of mixed together in the water a bit like an oil painting.
This is certainly my new favourite pic :D
