Root Vegetables: Before and After
Root vegetables: root of all GOOD!
I made Jerry Traunfeld's Root Ribbons (recipe here) for my mom's birthday dinner a few weeks ago. It makes a pretty dish and healthy to boot. I wanted to make this the second I saw the recipe on Food52 and I'm glad I did and everyone loved it. Must note though that the ribbon-making of roots was serious labor and no joke - so if I make it again it'll have to another special occasion! By the way: you can use any root vegetables except for beet.
