People in costume. Neptune Party, Grace Line Steamer. Passengers crossing Equator for first time were dunked in canvas tank of water on ship's deck. Macbride's Journal Entry: Mar. 3, 1923. Father Neptune came aboard as usual today. Dr. B* was properly initiated after being accused of having too much of a "lichen" for the lichen family. [*Dr. George S. Bryan of Wisconsin University, who accompanied Macbride in 1923].
