Minneapolis South High School marches in response to the Ferguson grand jury ruling on the Michael Brown death
Minneapolis, Minnesota
November 25, 2014
In the morning, South High School students held a sit in for four and half hours (the length of time Michael Brown's body was on the street after he was killed). Then they walked out and marched to the Minneapolis police 3rd precinct, traveling down Lake Street and temporarily blocking eastbound traffic. Police cars blocked traffic for the march. Outside the police station, impromptu speakers shared their personal experiences dealing with police. Some spoke of returning to the same location at 4:30pm for another protest and march.
