Maize Fortification
A Maize Fortification Strategy Meeting for Africa took place in Tanzania in October 2016.

The aim was to examine patterns of maize production, share maize fortification experiences, identify country legislation and quality assurance needs, distribute existing quality assurance tools, and build capacity for quality maize fortification implementation and monitoring.

Thanks to the Manzese/Tandale Maize Millers and Processors Association and Basic Elements, Co, in Dar es Salaam for making the field trips informative and interesting.

Also thanks to the World Health Organization for providing technical information.

The government of Tanzania has graciously offered to serve as the host.
