study of light and leg -

This actually was a concept my wife Joleen had for a class project, after she was done I took a couple snaps and made after her shoot.

More detail is available when viewed large. Addtionally while I like this photograph, I took another (available here) that I like better and I think is a stronger image.

Tech Info: Shot with a Canon 5D and Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L lens on black seamless.

Lighting Info: Lighting provided by two White Lighting X1600 strobes triggered by Pocket Wizard PlusII's. Key/Primary light was a 4'x3' softbox to camera right at a 60 degree angle from the camera about 1' out of frame just slightly in front of the subject.

Second light is using a 7" reflector with a 40 degree grid to camera left behind the subject about 6 feet out of frame to hit the legs of the chair and the back of the leg and heels.

Finally a Westcott 42" silver reflector was positioned to the immideate left of camera almost parallel to the subject to help bounce some of the spill of the softbox onto the front of the frame so the light fall off wasn't so harsh.
