Sunrise over Ullswater
A very cold, but beautiful point in Ullswater, just as the sun started to rise, this was about 7.15am. Spot the other photographer who had the same idea as us, we all got very territorial about who got the best position, it was literally "Tripods at dawn". We had the greatest claim though as we were there at 3am! I think the ludicrous arrival time paid off.
N.b - Note the log on the bottom left of the pic, which we termed "pre-processing" after we had to lug it from around the other side of the lake to try to add some foreground interest, alas it doesn't really show up, and just looks like a lump in the water. But it gave Stumpy some exersize! and after all the huffing and puffing to get it there, i didn't have the heart to crop it out.
