Nahant Town Hall

The Nahant Town Hall, was bilt in1912 of a pretty limestone and pale brick, and has a slate roof. It is located across the street from the Nahant Public Library (please, see my previous photograph). The USA National Register of Historical Places added Nahant's Town Hall as well as the Library in 1991. The town Hall in Nahant is a very busy place. Besides the townhall government business, it serves as a meeting and voting site for the residents of this small North Shore peninsular town in Massachusetts (the smallest municipality by area in the entire state). The Nahant's Town Hall is a popular dance venue hosting the Commonwealth Vintage Dancers as well as a Victorian Day Ball (dances called such as its own Nahant quadrilles and contra dances, waltz and polka à la XVIII-ct.) The Nahant Town Hall had been used for several American feature movies and the "Bob Newhart Show" (popular old TV show in USA) as for classic New England style town hall.
