This is a funny one of Kara. It's so nice to see photos from all you Brisbanites who know each other in the real world too - get to see you all from different angles and points of views and things ;-)
  • Greg Williamson PRO 8y

yeah - we brisbanites are turning into a big extended family. are there other other meet-up groups like us?
  • benefit of hindsight 8y

I'm sure there are but I still don't know anybody in real life from flickr yet!
    *sob*
  • David de Groot PRO 8y

  • David de Groot PRO 8y

That she is. With a black extension tube on the front, and an UV filter on front of that (to protect the lens mostly).
  • coralie 8y

    what's an extension tube for/do?

  • David de Groot PRO 8y

For attaching filters or tele- / wide- convertors of course :)

I have a Raynox 6600 (0.66x) wide angle convertor for the S2, which brings the wide end down to a 24mm equiv, from the 36mm equiv. it usually is. You can also get 1.4 and 2x teleconvertors to extend the already impressive optical zoom. I also have a polarizing filter, which proves quite handy, and is the same thread (58mm) as the 18-55mm kit lens on my 400d.
