Greensburg School

Located inside the city limits of Greensburg, Kentucky. I had been told that there had been a one room school for the blacks in Greensburg before the schools were integrated and that it was still standing. Greensburg is not that large of a town, just drove around until I found it. The plague in front of the school gave some information and I had a hunch that the school was one of the Rosenwald Schools that were built in the South. Question why it being a Rosenwald School was not mentioned on the plaque.

Current use ........ Fellowship Center for the local Baptist Church.

This school has little if any info that can be found with internet searches. Even the information that Fisk University has on its data place is incomplete. Maybe this will be seen by someone in Green County that can fill in some of the blanks.
