People shouldn't be afraid of their governments...

Governments should be afraid of their people!

I am a political person. This does not mean that I use words "politically" or that I follow the houses to know every vote my representative did. I am political because I have strong opinion on how the things should work. I am political because when the government say one thing or another I have my opinion and I am interested in make it count.

V for Vendetta is a very important film for me. The dvd is there on my shelf and from time to time I like to watch it over and over, as I like to read the graphic novel again and again. The message inside V for Vendetta is simple: Freedom! Freedom is the most important value in our society (in my opinion at least). Yes, it is much more important than our f****g "Security". I prefer terrorists to attack my security than my government to limit my freedom; thus the quote "People shouldn't be afraid of their governments, Governments should be afraid of their people!".

Our ancestors died to give us Liberty and trading it for the idea of security is like spitting on their memories.

And if you want to reming me that "If you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't be afraid of Government's control...", well I am sorry to tell you that we are talking about two different things: you are talking about a possible real life application while I am talking about the Idea.

The mask of Guy Fawkes, the 5th of November and the Ideals of Freedom and Liberty are amongst the most important values in my life: I believe, I am political, I have values. Questionable or not this is the political side of me.

Remember, remember the fifth of November

Gunpowder, treason and plot.

I see no reason, why gunpowder treason

Should ever be forgot.
