The theme will be released in next year, and there are figures given away in the Comic-con as far as I know.
Really looking for the new Batman sets.

This is just great! I love Batman, he's not supernatural of some kind... he has the greatest gadgets...

I can't wait for the FBTB coverage this weekend!

Here's hoping for a Hall of Justice or Watchtower UCS set...

Personally, I'm curious how successful the theme might be. Thankfully, the fact that they're giving away Batman and Green Lantern figs specifically suggests that they will be paying close attention to what movie franchises are current, so they'll have that to their advantage.

Comic-book superhero franchises are a bit of a puzzle because they have such inordinate staying power. There will almost always be some Batman story that's currently relevant, whether a movie franchise, TV show, video game, or (obviously) comic book, and merchandise will usually be on store shelves consistently as well. That may be promising for such a theme. At the same time, one wonders what kind of building potential would be present in, for instance, Wonder Woman-based sets.

Also, it's nice to see that TLG is still able to keep secrets. This came completely out of left field, unless there was speculation brimming that I wasn't aware of. Most people discussing future licenses on Eurobricks were theorizing a Marvel license might be in LEGO's future, since Disney and LEGO have such a strong partnership, and since LEGO was recently invited to a meeting with potential Marvel merchandising partners. I wonder what other surprises LEGO might have in store for next year.

Maybe they'll change batman's head and mask, so there will be a normal face under it... or change the crappy face. Will this mean a new LEGO Batman Game or a DC LEGO game?

Man this is pretty exciting! I loved the previous Batman stuff, and look forward to more. But who besides Batman has the 'wonderful toys?' I mean a full DC license is great, but I wonder about the sets.

and that also means we get more from WB like harry potter. and if everyone here like buys every set in this theme(maybe 2;) the WB themes could be even more popular then STAR WARS and POTC!

    12. TheMasterOfDeath [deleted] 46 months ago | reply

Star Wars is made by Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox and Lucasfilm. POTC is Disney. Well, they made a deal with DC. Not with Warner Bros. I don't think more HP sets will come. The revived HP sets were almost all based on the movie that was, was coming or is in theaters. They put some remakes with it, but I think this was the end. Well... I'm glad they decided to revive Batman!

DC is Warner Bros. The deal IS with Warner.

    14. TheMasterOfDeath [deleted] 46 months ago | reply

DC comics is a part of Warner Bros., and what I understand here, is that the deal is only with DC.
