My third attempt at turning a wooden mushroom. I tried a different technique this time around, using a chuck to hold the piece of wood from one end and then turning the cap at the headstock end. That made it a lot easier to turn the underneath of the cap but it did mean that I had to part off the top of the cap.
I tried dampening the wood to raise the grain before the final sanding. It's noticeably smoother than Mushroom Two, especially on the end grain.
