2009 California Twilight Tour
Dozens soaked up the sanctuary’s serenity during a special evening event at the California Shelter. Learning about the nocturnal habits of farm animals during a leisurely tour, guests were able to see animals in a different sort of light – twilight – and appreciate their distinctive nocturnal habits. Following their visit with the sanctuary residents, guests enjoyed vegan appetizers, refreshing beverages and the chance to mingle with other likeminded folks. Kids enjoyed arts and crafts and were able to participate in a tour of the night sky, led by star enthusiast Brad Larsen. Seeing the animals on the shelter and in the starry sky (constellations featuring the shapes of an eagle, swan, scorpion. and others) was a real treat for all!
