      I blogged this to Waterspout Weather on Michigan in Pictures with a lot of information about how they form.

      Thanks!! Not too scary though Sunny. I've seen a fair number of these and they typically die when they hit land.

      I'm surprised you don't see a lot of them this time of year in Charlevoix Julie. Head out on cloudy, cold days to look for them. I think that wind might play a role too.
