spinach leaves

Let my words, like vegetables, be tender and sweet,
for tomorrow I may have to eat them.

    ~ Anon.

My spinach plants are finally starting to look like spinach.

They looked like this a couple of weeks ago. I first sowed the seeds in fiber pots and let them grow in my apartment patio. After the heavy rainstorms passed, I planted the fiber pots in my plot at the community garden, and they seem to be doing well (knock on wood!)

      It are the simple things,
      the things with young leafs,
      instead of monsters on wings,
      giant fantasies, in magic rings,
      just the beauty,
      the real beauty,
      of spinach leafs,
      the simple things..
