UN Committee on World Food Security (CFS), 37th Session

17 October 2011, Rome - Opening session of the UN Committee on World Food Security (CFS), 37th Session. FAO headquarters (Plenary Hall). The CFS is an intergovernmental body that acts as the lead UN forum for review and follow-up of policies concerning world food security. In addition to UN agencies, it includes civil society organizations and NGOs, international research institutions and financial and trade institutions, as well as private sector and philanthropic foundations engaged in rural development and food security work.

AGENDA NOTES
The Thirty seventh Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) will open at
14.30 hours on Monday, 17 October 2011, at FAO headquarters. Provisions have been made for the Session to continue until 13.0 hours on Saturday, 22 October.
