FAO LONY reporting on the activities of the New York-based United Nations Agencies.

FAO maintains two offices in North America - LOWA servicing Canada and the United States, and another at the United Nations in New York (LONY). The function of LONY is to keep FAO fully informed about, and contributing to, the activities of the New York-based United Nations Agencies. LOWA advises and assists in the development and implementation of FAO policies and programs, by facilitating communication and cooperation between FAO and the governments of Canada and the United States, and between FAO and the international and inter-American organizations based in Washington.
