International Women’s Day: Closing the gender gap in agriculture
8 March 2011, Rome, Italy - On International Women’s Day, the three Rome-based UN agencies hosted a roundtable debate on closing the gender gap in agriculture. An international panel of experts debated the costs of gender inequality for agricultural productivity, poverty and hunger and discussed appropriate action to be taken.
