Food Waste and Food Loss - Eataly food emporium on - World Food Day event
Thematic meeting with the participation of NGOs and private sector actors, such asBarilla, Coop, Gruppo Alce Nero, Cantine San Marco, Illy.
A cooking demonstration with the involvement of successful chefs from Colombia (Roy Salomon Caceres Sabagh), Albania (Fundim Gjpali) and Cuba (Lesmer Oquedo Curbelo), in cooperation with One Year Against Food Waste, EU campaign promoted by Last Minute Market-University of Bologna with the Agricultural Committee of the EU Parliament, photographic exhibitions to tell the experiences carried out by NGOs in the field of food security and food waste, hands-on labs for educational activities, will follow.
Eataly will dedicate the entire week to a series of initiatives to raise awareness on waste by inserting a dish made out of recovered food in the menus of its restaurants, by implementing cooking classes for schools and evening classes open to everyone.
Eataly will also involve other Eataly branches in Italy and abroad.
