CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF LANDING
All of our little winter visitors, some from as far away as Alaska! My daughter, Kristina takes complete care of the bird sanctuary in our garden. This tree died 2 years ago, but the birds love it for perching and avoiding our resident hawk predators.
The little redhead on the far right is just about to land on a branch. Thanks to my daughter, these birds are spoiled. Fresh water (4 bird baths) every day and tons of birdseed. (Better seen in large size)
We now also have a peregrine falcon who ate a pigeon on our telephone pole. That is too high for a good shot, but our binoculars tell us he is a falcon, and his love for pigeons and not our beloved doves.
Thanks for visiting. JJ
