Fall colors at the bay

    Mobile Bay, Alabama
    Goldenrod used to the the state flower of Alabama, but it was replaced by camellia in the 1960s. Too bad, in my opinion, as camellia was an import from Asia whereas as goldenrod is native. It gets a bad reputation with allergy sufferers because it hangs out with ragweed.

      Do you know what the white flowering shrub is that grows wild and shows up in the roadside fields around Thanksgiving? Been wondering that for years and years.
