Dental and Oral Health
The goal here is not to gross you out, but to provide photos that can help you learn about your pet's mouth. Once you learn what signs of dental and oral disease look like you'll be in a great position to help your pet!

If a dog's or a cat's mouth is uncomfortable, they can't get away from this feeling and they're miserable. Dogs and cats rarely stop eating when they have oral pain. If they did, they'd have two problems: they'd be painful and hungry. Animals like to minimize their problems.

Additionally, dogs and cats don't always show outward signs of pain or discomfort. Their instincts tell them to remain as normally appearing as possible for as long as possible. This is why it is incumbent upon us to pay attention to their condition and health.

We take oral and dental care very seriously at the Cuyahoga Falls Veterinary Clinic. It is important to make sure our pets are comfortable and maximizing quality of life.
