Thoughts on the cable car?

    I heart it...but I'm biased.

I like this a lot. Nice typeface and I like the colors. Well done!

    I love it.

I can't help but wonder what it would look like with flames and cable car reversed (big flames and smaller cable car inside)?

I just had to be difficult.

rKnight -- I'll give that a shot. That was my original idea, I just didn't try it out (yet).

I dig it, it looks nice even when you scale it down a few times.

Looks great! Now if only we were in the Bay Area :P

It should be a monorail :-)

    Cable car?

I'm not from the Bay Area, so the iconic cable car isn't, well, all that recognizable to me... at first glance, I thought it was the top of a light house or some such.

    Perhaps from the side?

And also, the cable car is mostly a tourist attraction, not a serious commute vehicle (an intentional decision made by Muni when it raised prices to $5 a ride).

Better graphic would be BART or a LRV (light-rail vehicle/street trolley).

But then again, i'm just being literalist nerdy.

I liked the idea of the cable car. Local transit roots.

It was recognizable. But only with the word transit nearby for a clue.

If you try the car lengthwise, think about putting it going up a steep hill.

I'd love for the car (or text) to convey motion or speed.

If you must try something besides the cable car, I'd vote for Jet Pack, Stargate, or Mary Poppins' Umbrella.
