George Washington Bridge - Seattle, Lake Union
I was bored and looking for a subject of interest for a photograph. A friend of mine had suggested perhaps I was trying to hard to find something and should just relax and shoot. So, on Monday after work I went for a drive and just shot. Being a former Architect, I enjoy structural engineering and aspects of civil engineering. Bridges are a great example. So, at about 9pm I went down to Lake Union and took this shot.
Seattle's George Washington Memorial Bridge, commonly known as the Aurora Bridge, The nearly 3,000-foot, steel cantilever structure spans Lake Union between the Fremont and Queen Anne neighborhoods.
This shot shows maybe 1/8th of the total structure.
