Place des Jacobins Lyon

Het plein werd aangelegd in 1556. In 1885 werd er een fontein geplaatst met daarbij 4 standbeelden van evenzoveel Franse kunstenaars, te weten Jean-Hippolyte Flandrin, Gérard Audran, Guillaume Coustou en Philibert de l'Orme.

 

The square was created in 1556. The current fountain with the 4 statues of French artists (see above) was added in 1885. The square belongs to the zone classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Done
