Duchess of Sutherland: "Look at that demure little head. And all of us wondering what's inside it."

Lord Melbourne: "We'll find out soon enough."

This is Emily Blunt, in a small strip of the original 35mm motion picture stock of Jean-Marc Vallée's 2009 movie 'The Young Victoria', written by Julian Fellowes.

The location list for the shooting of this movie reads like a 'Who's Where' of the british aristocracy and landed gentry - and it was sooo (almost Kubrick~like) beautifully lit & shot by cinematographer Hagen Bogdanski.

The historical inaccuracies in the plot of the film supposedly irritated H.M. Queen Elizabeth II though... so another plus point in it for me.

The blue line on the left-hand side is the strip that carries the film's (optical) Dolby stereo soundtrack (thanks Chris!).

I wonder how long it shall be, before we lose forever the gorgeous visual richness of proper motion picture film stock when we go to the cinema... and are condemned entirely to the digital world of the Red One etc?

It'll be a very sad and heartbreaking day (for me, at least).
