This is darkness at noon on the St Alex Church standing at Curtorim in Goa.
The rather flat facades of the churches influenced by the Portugese
colonial rulers of Goa are not the best in terms of aesthetic appeal
or as marvels of construction.
They are flat as they can be involving not a large outgo on money.
The shot has been made to have this effect of a foggy dark day with a Black and white gradient suitably toned down.

PS - Curtorim as of date has a predominantly Catholic population. The Church of St Alex defines the village. It is one of the oldest churches in Goa built in 1597 . This church was constructed on a site of an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Ravalnath (a form of Lord Shiva). The remains of the ancient temple of Ravalnath are still visible today. The church of St Alex was first a chapel and it was upgraded to a church in 1808.
