Anatomy Lesson

Worcester Art Museum

I didn't get info on the sculpture of the child, but she is positioned to perpetually view Hyman Bloom’s painting of a cut-up corpse, named “The Hull” (1952). The museum card says Bloom found the subject to be one in which “the paradox of the harrowing and the beautiful could be brought into unity.”

It was an incredible photo op, not to be pased up. Instagram’s Hudson filter was the obvious choice.
