Disney Dining Under the Sea (Explored)

Newer Older

I was a little surprised to be able to walk right into the Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot one morning, set up my tripod, and take as many pictures as I wanted with no one bothering me!

From Disney.com:

“Coral Reef Restaurant, located at The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion at Epcot theme park serves scrumptious seafood for lunch and dinner surrounded by stunning underwater views of the Caribbean Coral Reef.

Dine on grilled mahi mahi, pan-seared flounder and other seafood favorites, as well as New York strip steak, grilled chicken and vegetable strudel. All the while, look out on the largest inland saltwater environment ever built— containing 85 different species of tropical fish.

Between the delicious food and the extraordinary view, the Coral Reef provides a fascinating and memorable dining experience.”

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're having a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah day!

Absolutely fantastic. The levels and color are just off the charts. This is one of the few restaurants I've never enjoyed; this shot is likely going to add it to my must do list.

Great photo, but isn't there something a bit creepy about admiring the sealife while eating seafood? (Even our language tries to separate the ideas in our heads - seaLIFE and seaFOOD.) Especially at Disneyland, which is for children - "Here, darling, have another serve of Nemo..."

I have always wanted to have a room in my house look like this. Not really tables and chairs but just the aquariums and big spaces to walk around would be nice.

That is a great place to eat. I believe we have dined there twice or three times. I remember sitting up top and once time down front. The kids love the aquariums while eating. That's cool you were able to walk in and get some shots.

My wife and I had our rehearsal brunch in the Coral Reef lounge which is just on the other side of the furthest wall. It offers the same decor with large windows overlooking the reef and was a very memorable venue for our event :)
