On the night this photo was taken, there was a freak warm front in Chicago. It was completely foggy; the snow was starting to melt and yield some water into the air. Unfortunately, I hadn't charged my camera in ages, and it was blinking when I took this shot and three others. It cut off for good about 30 seconds after I had turned it on. This was the last shot.
I was terribly sad because I'd been looking for a perfect night to take Brassai-esque shots of Oak Park, and when the moment with the proper weather had arrived, I had been so silly as to go without charging my camera.
The figure is Evonne--our destination: to get some egg nog!
Happy New Year,
