St. Paul's Chapel

St. Paul's Chapel in downtown Manhattan is the oldest public building in continuous use in New York City and is the only remaining colonial-era church in Manhattan. In 1786, George Washington prayed at St. Paul's after his inauguration as the first president of the United States.
