Another of the spectacular sights was the gorgeous Lake Tekapo, on the south island on the way to Arthur's Pass. Someone had decorated the shore with thousands of zen-esque stacked rock structures.
I took this opportunity to use my ND filter, and I'm glad I did. The long exposure (65 seconds!) smoothed out the already gentle water, creating a very cool atmosphere. I would love to get another chance at it during sunset, that would be amazing.
On a side note, much of the B&W work I have been posting recently was developed in Aperture and Silver Efex Pro 2, which is now quite cheap and *well* worth your money.
