The pentagon shape represents the five principals of the nation, 'Pancasila', meanwhile the picture of ocean, mountain and sky in the pentagon represents the Indonesian Customs Territory where the Customs and Excise Laws are applied. A Stick with eight thread of screws symbolizes that the international trade relationship spread to eight direction of compass, which means all corners of the world. Two sides of wing comprising 30 little wings and 10 big wings symbolize the Indonesian Monetary Day of 30 October and represent the responsibility of the DGCE in carrying out the duty of the Ministry of Finance in the Customs and Excise matters.
